Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Account settings. You can also use Account settings under Settings in the sidebar. These settings are yours and follow you across organizations. For passwords, two-factor authentication and devices, see Account security. The pages are Profile, Security, Notifications, AI Preferences, Appearance, Connected Accounts, Data & Privacy and Organizations. On pages with a form, choose Save Changes to save, or Discard to undo.

Profile

Choose Edit to change your profile, and Change Photo to change your picture.
  • Basic Information: Full Name, Display Name (how the AI and author reports name you), Job Title, Bio, City and Country. Article checks use your job title and bio as author details.
  • Regional Settings: your Timezone, or Same as my organization. It sets your local date and time for the AI. Dates and times elsewhere in Weelkit follow your organization’s formats.

Change your email address

  1. Under Email address, choose Change email.
  2. Enter the New email address and choose Send confirmation link. Weelkit asks you to confirm it’s you first.
  3. Open the link Weelkit sends to the new address. Until you do, the page shows “Waiting for confirmation from” the new address, and your current address keeps working and stays the one you sign in with. Choose Cancel change to stop.
Your old address gets a notice with a link to undo the change, in case it wasn’t you.

Notifications

Choose which notifications reach you, one event at a time. Each row has two switches: In-app (your notification inbox) and Email. In-app is on for every event to start with. Security alerts are marked Always on and can’t be turned off: Weelkit always tells you, in the app and by email, about sign-ins from a new device and about changes to your password, two-factor authentication, email and connected accounts. See Security alerts. Your organization’s admins can also turn off article and comment notifications, or other alerts, for the whole organization. See Organization settings.

AI Preferences

  • Writing Style & Tone: how the AI sounds when it writes and edits for you: Conversational, Neutral, Professional, Technical, or Custom with your own description.
  • Integrations: connect Slack (read channel messages and send approved updates) and Gmail (send the emails you approve). Choose Connect or Disconnect. Each send needs approval for its exact message and recipient or channel; changing either requires new approval.
  • Remembered approvals: eligible CMS and external-tool actions the AI can repeat without asking until they expire. They do not authorize Gmail or Slack sends. Revoke one, or Revoke all.
  • AI Memory & Context: under Tell AI about yourself, add context the AI should always consider. Learned memory shows what it has learned. Turn Remember Preferences, Learn from Edits and Share Context Across Organizations on or off.
  • Clear All AI Memory: permanently deletes what the AI knows and learned about you, your custom writing style and your remembered approvals, and turns the memory switches off. Confirm with Clear Memory. Your chats and organization settings aren’t affected.
If an integration shows Reconnect required, choose Disconnect, then Connect to authorize again. The notice means Weelkit needs fresh authorization; it does not prove every token has expired. Disconnecting removes the local connection, but does not revoke Google access or uninstall the Slack app. You can do that in the provider’s settings. An approved send is confirmed after the provider accepts it. That does not mean someone has read it or that an email reached their inbox. If the outcome is unknown, check the original message before approving another send. Message bodies can contain up to 10,000 characters, and email subjects up to 500. Longer values are rejected rather than shortened. Gmail sends new messages; replying within an existing thread is not offered.

Appearance

  • Theme: Light, Dark, or System to follow your device.
  • Accent Color for buttons and highlights.
  • Layout: Sidebar Collapsed by Default, and Default Article View (Grid or List in the Library).
  • Editor Preferences: Font Family (Sans, Serif or Mono), Font Size, and Show Word Count.

Connected Accounts

Sign-In Methods lists the ways you can sign in: Email & Password and the providers the sign-in page offers, such as Google and GitHub.
  • To link a provider, choose Connect and sign in with it. To unlink it, choose Disconnect. Both ask you to confirm it’s you, and Weelkit sends you an alert.
  • You can’t disconnect your only way to sign in.

Data & Privacy

  • Data Export: Export My Data prepares a copy of your personal data as a JSON file. The page shows “Preparing your export…”, and the file downloads when it’s ready. Choose Download again if you need another copy. If it fails, it says why and offers Retry.
  • Data Deletion:
    • Activity History: choose Delete, then Delete History. This deletes your article and writing activity and read state, and anonymizes you in analytics. Security and audit records are kept.
    • Delete Account: choose Delete My Account, then Delete Account. Your account is scheduled for deletion after a 14-day grace period. Transfer ownership of any organization you own first.
  • Privacy Controls: Allow Personalization lets the AI use your writing style and what it remembers about you. Turn it off to stop that.
Exporting your data and deleting your account ask you to confirm it’s you.

Cancel an account deletion

During the 14-day grace period you can still sign in. Weelkit shows “Your account is scheduled for deletion” with two options: Cancel deletion (after confirming it’s you) and Sign out. Weelkit emails you when deletion is scheduled, the day before it runs, and if you cancel. After the grace period, deletion can’t be undone.

Organizations

Accept or decline invitations, choose your default organization, and leave organizations. See Sign in and organizations.
