The icons on the right of the editor’s top bar open side panels. Point at an icon to see its name: Version History, To fix and SEO & Metadata (articles only), Sources, Comments, Activities and Members. The open panel shows its name.

  1. Choose Members.
  2. Choose Add member.
  3. Under Person, search for a teammate by name or email. Under Role, pick:
    • Editor to edit and comment;
    • Commenter to read and comment.

The avatars in the top bar show who has the document open, one per person. Their cursors and selections show in the document with their names as they work.

Comment

  1. Select the text you want to comment on.
  2. Choose Add Comment, type your comment, and choose Comment or press Enter.
Commented text shows a small label in the document, such as “2 comments”. Choose it to open the thread. The number on the Comments icon counts open threads. In Comments, switch between Open and Resolved.
  • Reply to continue a thread.
  • Resolve closes a thread when it’s handled; Reopen brings it back.
  • Delete removes a comment and its replies for everyone. To delete a single reply, open its menu and choose Delete reply. Both ask you to confirm.
Links in comments open in a new tab. Comments can’t be edited once posted. Comments stay attached to their text when you format it or change its block type. If the commented text is deleted, the thread says so. The document’s owner and everyone in a thread get a notification when someone comments, replies, or resolves or reopens the thread. View discussion opens the document with the thread showing.

Follow activity

Choose Activities for the document’s history: who created, edited, commented on, shared, published, archived or restored it, and when.

Restore an earlier version

Choose Version History to see the document’s versions, newest first. Weelkit saves a version for every AI draft and AI edit, and automatically as you edit. Labels mark the Current version and versions that are an AI draft, an AI edit or Restored.
  1. Choose a version to view it. The document shows it read-only, with “You’re viewing version N.” at the top. Choose View latest to go back.
  2. To make it current, choose Restore at the top, or Restore this version from the version’s ⋯ menu.
  3. In Restore Version, choose Restore.
Restoring creates a new version, so nothing is lost: you can restore the version you replaced the same way. Everyone with the document open sees the restored version. You need edit access to restore.
