# Image library

> Upload, find, inspect, download and delete your organization's images.

The **Image library** holds every image your organization uploaded, generated or made with the image tools. Open it from **Images → Image library** in the sidebar.

## Upload an image

1. Choose **Upload Image**.
2. Choose a PNG, JPG or WEBP file up to 10 MB.
3. Optionally add **Alt Text** (a description for screen readers) and **Tags**, separated by commas.
4. Choose **Upload Image**.

## Find an image

Search by name, description, keyword, tag or alt text. Choose **Filters** to filter by source (**AI Generated**, **User Uploaded** or **Tool Output**), by type, and by when it was added. Choose **Clear search and filters** to see everything again.

Weelkit describes each image in the background and adds keywords, so you can find images by what they show. Images with a generic file name also get a descriptive name.

## Work with an image

Each image shows whether it was **Generated**, **Uploaded** or made with a tool (**Tool output**). Point at an image for **View Details** and **Download**.

**View Details** opens a larger preview with the image's name, type, dimensions, date added, **Usage** (how many articles use it), **Description** and **Keywords**, and the **Download Image** and **Delete Image** buttons. When Weelkit renamed an image, it shows the original name too.

**Delete Image** asks you to confirm, then deletes the image and its stored files for good. You can delete images you uploaded; owners and admins can delete any image. An image that an article uses can't be deleted.

To edit an image, use the [image tools](https://docs.weelkit.com/images/tools.md): each saves its result as a new image here, and the original doesn't change.

## Use an image in an article

* **Featured image:** in the editor, open **SEO & Metadata** and choose **Choose from Library**.
* **In the body:** insert an **Image** block and upload the file or paste its URL.
* **In a chat:** type **@** and pick the image to give it to the AI.
